2016 Teams Event 2016
Sunday 7th August 2016
Good Evening Members,
Well, as I thought the quality of snooker played today was good throughout. To have four full teams once again for this event was excellent and the committees and delegates of Ballina RSL, Club Banora, Lismore Workers and Casino RSM should take a bow for the great effort they went to in acquiring players for today's event, well done!
Looking at the teams on paper I thought the matches would be a lot closer considering some of the handy players that participated but I guess it comes down to how you play on the day? Thank you to Dean Keune and all the Lismore fella's for the use of their great snooker room and for them preparing the tables at the start of the day.
Well done to the Ballina RSL Team for leading us to our second victory in a row in this event (Only 17 more to go!!) and for playing some fantastic snooker matches with I must say a fair bit of dominance. Club Banora Team also played quite well and kept us under some pressure through most of the day which shows they are still a force to be reckoned with! Please see the attached results below and one more thing...........................
GO BALLINA!!!!! GO BALLINA!!!!! GO BALLINA!!!!!

2016 Handicap Singles RESULTS
Sunday 15th May 2016
Good Evening All,
May I start in saying what a fantastic day was had by all today. The majority of matches were highly contested some even coming down to the wire or even a couple of re-spots. Thank you to all that participated and as far as I am concerned 22 players is a great turn out for this event especially when most of our clubs are having some sort of downtime due to reno's we still managed to round up players, excellent.
I would like to thank the following:
- Mark Johnson & Peter Grunsell for assisting in overseeing the draw when I was occupied
- Thanks to Ryan, Both Brian's, Both Paul's, Peter Taylor, Peter Coan and others who helped with refereeing so thank you again
- Thanks also to Dean Keune, Lismore President and Danny Waldock for the use of the lovely re-covered tables, ball sets and equipment for the event.
- Thanks to Jim Cruz our Acting Secretary/Treasurer for putting up with a cranky young bugger of a President like me!!
And finally I am claiming this win as Toby (Ballina) vs Ray (Banora) with Ballina coming out on top again!! Sucko Wilcher!!
Sorry Ray but you know I have to rub it in!!

2016 Handicap Singles Championship
Wednesday 11th May 2016
Please see below attached the draw for the upcoming Handicap Singles Championship to be held at Lismore Workers on Sunday 15th May starting at 9:30am. Please note that if you are marked in one of the four matches to begin at 9:30am that you ensure to be here on time.
The draw itself works from the outside in just like a double elimination with matches being placed on from left to right one at a time as we work our way in to the final. If you have a BYE you may wait longer than others before you play so bare that in mind. Also note that to ensure we are all not there late into the night if the final is not in progress before 5:00pm the amount of frames played will be dropped from five down to three to save time.
Good Luck,
Toby Towner
